I’m a creative person. My vocation is that of an actor and a musical composer, though it is safe to say that’s very much on the back burner while I try to get my health in order.

After months of pain and worsening symptoms, I was diagnosed with colon cancer in October 2018. I underwent surgery, and chemo. In 2021 it appeared to have spread to my gall bladder and liver, and there was more surgery, but it turned out to not be cancer. But the treatment would have been the same.

I have noticed that a great many ladies here are asking for a ‘real man’ or a ‘genuine man.’ I am sorry to disappoint you all. I can’t help you, as I am in fact a cheap knock-off made entirely out of lego. While this might shatter your dreams of a relationship, I do have the advantage that you can take me apart and put me back together again in the shape of a spaceship. I think some would find this to be an admirable quality in a boyfriend.

I am looking for a committed, long term relationship here, preferably with someone near to me, as I have done the long distance thing a little too often. I want someone who can be with me, and be part of me, to share whatever life can bring our way. I have no desire to do the one night stand thing, and since I am a Byronic romantic at heart, I’d like to believe that there is someone out there to walk beside me all the way.

I’m a good cook, very interested in science and history. I’ve studied a variety of things at university. I trained in drama, and have taken courses in cookery, social anthropology, and Egyptian hieroglyphics. I started my masters in Victorian Studies in 2017, but had to postpone the course when my health deteriorated drastically. I’m a keen LARPer, and both play and run games all around the country.
