SO MANY SCAMMERS “DEAR”
Posted by Kathy on November 7, 2021 at 9:33 pmI can’t believe the number of scammers on this site! So – where do we post the names of scammers that we encounter? It seems that a lot of the scammers address people as “dear” it’s a dead giveaway.

I think you just write them in a discussion. There are just too many to list (and I just joined this weekend).
-
OMG Alda, you are not kidding. Why on this site? to take advantage of people who are trying to heal and maybe make some friends? I think one of the signs is when the word “dear” is used. Normal US men don’t use this word in sentences.
Okay, thanks for the heads up on the scammer list – or lack thereof…I met a really nice man, but I am unsure if he is who he says he is. So, I just keep writing him on this site until I am confident that he is who he says he is. I am waiting for him to give me his number – because a scammer will ask for your number but not give you theirs. Wish me luck!

Kathy, please be careful. It is easy to tell a scammer simply by sentence structure and wording.
-
Yes, a total giveaway! It’s almost comical – but so wrong. We are all here to heal and make friends! Is there no place that is sacred!
-
-
I have just been a couple of hours here; I can tell you same as Alda mentioned, there is a lot of “dear” and copy/paste from poor translators.
I can’t believe that people like this came to this kind of site trying to take advantage. Thank you so much for your comments, girls. I don’t want to delete my profile right away, so I’ll give a few more days to see what happens here.

MemberFebruary 4, 2022 at 11:57 pmHi, I haven’t been here long but honestly I am wiped out by all the scammers. I wasn’t getting this many on dating sites. I think I will be deleting my account depending on how the weekend goes. Its unfortunate and unfair that unethical folks are messing this up for everyone. I don’t understand what the owners of this site are doing to curtail it besides warning folks.

I completely agree! I am fairly savvy about this sort of thing, I’ve had people try to scam me many times on various sites, and they were pretty easy to detect.
But it takes a really special kind of lowlife to try this on a group of people who are dealing with cancer. Truly vile behaviour!
-
-
I think people who try to scam people fighting cancer are some of the lowest life forms. And they create doubt for legit people like us.
Let’s hope Karma catches up with them quickly.

Beware of Cathy Diamond, asked for money twice without ever meeting in person. When I asked her for her real name, she blocked me. Real scammer.
-
Yes, Cathy Diamond is a scammer – she or most likely he sent me an invitation. I told that person to get off this site and that they were a scammer. But this won’t help, they will just change the picture and name – it infuriates me that there is not a proper scammer complaint on this site – that it is simply word of mouth so to speak!
-
Wonder why this site does not make it mandatory to verify identity. Or to at least give that option.
Do not get me wrong, I like being part of a dating site for people like me who have had or have cancer.
-

-
Thanks for your reply Kathy. I learned a lesson without sending money.
-
-
I can’t say they are all over the site due to my small sample size, I can tell you some scammers are better than others so do your due diligence. I know I’m a scammer magnet at the moment.
-
Hello – I signed up on this site to make new friends – with cancer in common. I can tell you from only my experience that 1 in 5 is legit and that is TERRIBLE metrics! This saddens me because we are all here to heal! There must be someplace with better safeguards for people like us. Wishing you all the best! Kath
-
It seems they picked our group (people with cancer) because many of us are very vulnerable.
My rule of thumb is to not give money to someone you have not met face to face.

Back putting my two cents in. Upon looking up profiles and comparing notes these three names either belong to the same person or it’s a group specializing in scamming. All have different pictures…. RICHARD BRASON, RICHARD BRASON AND GEORGE RICHARD. All sent me the same exact note asking me to contact them at brasonrich2019@gmail.com. All from Fremont, Calif. Disgusting!!

Can anyone tell me how I can block someone?
Thanks

MemberJanuary 30, 2022 at 10:23 amI think I just received a message from one of those names. So gross scammers would prey on people dealing with cancer. Yo can kind of tell because of how they write.

MemberFebruary 1, 2022 at 2:20 amHi, I just posted and I think it’s the same person—from Fremont with some crazy ass story.
-
To I think there’s a guy named Peter out there to who’s a scammer. He had text me the same thing a guy named Richard did about being originally from Fremont but is in France due to his job. Such a shame people are shameless
-
I would say that the last 4 people that have contacted me are definitely scammers. They immediately want to TEXT on email and use a different app. This is very sad. We are all on here to share stories and make friends and connections. 🙁
-
I just joined yesterday and I’ve been contacted by 8 different profiles that are all clearly scammers. Or the same scammer. Is there a way to block or report them? The last one is a man who claims to have had cervical cancer 😂

There is no way to block them, that I know of. Just ignore their messages and report their names on here so others will know is my suggestion.
Ladies, you are not alone, there are/were lady scammers also.
If everybody contacted the owner, that wrote on here, perhaps he might realize there is a real problem on his site. I have written him.
Here’s his contact info:
Darryl Mitteldorf, LCSW
darryl@malecare.org-
Well…it’s been awhile but Sandra Newton can be added to the list. Used Google photo to search her picture and it came back as Kenna James…a porn star. I was contacted 5 months ago by the same person, I guess they forgot? Using Google photo is a great resource for outing scammers.
I’m also hearing the scammers are coming back/never left again. Don’t be afraid to post names, if you’re positive they are not who they say they are.
-
How about adding Scarlett Ousman to the list, an easy Google photo search brought up her picture as an obvious catfish.
-
Just found Lynn McHanon also at https://www.tiktok.com/@hannahjuliet3, if you care to look…sheesh.
@hannahjuliet3 -
Ok…this is getting ridiculous….add Priscilla Thompson to the list of people using someone else’s picture. Search the photos at https://sociumin.com/?id=656872904 to find her picture.

MemberJuly 24, 2022 at 12:07 pmThis is legit information. I never knew you could drag and drop images into google image search to get matches, but it works. These are absolutely fake profiles. The photos are from various sites around the world. Apparently we have a bunch of tik tok models and porn stars that are cancer survivors on here. Ya don’t say… Thanks Daryl.

MemberAugust 1, 2022 at 6:58 pmI’m adding in Sharon Kurt. She’s following 80 people on here and rocking a pretty good kissy duck face haha. Google image searched her photo and it’s related to hair color models.
-
I’m adding Mr. Vincent Lori to the list, an obvious catfish, if you care to look.

I’m surprised he came back…beware.

Mr. Lugard Douglas is pretty slick, you need to be a member of Linkedin to see how many times his photo has been used.

MemberAugust 6, 2022 at 12:31 pmI think the key to knowing whether or not, you are dealing with a catfish/ scammer, is when they invite you to connect away from this site. Add GREYMAN to the list. He claims to be 40-49… But writes like a 15 year old dork, and immediately asked me to connect to his Gmail chat. 🙄. I asked for his handle. I’ll share here when he provides. 🤣

It’s been a while but time to expose another fake photo on old CM again. “David Maddox” is not using a picture of who he says he is. Here is the link with a nice shot of him smoking a cigar, when he says he doesn’t “smoke”….oops:
https://ninjaoutreach.com/hartzmanjohn
He is not alone, there could me more coming. Ladies and gentlemen, learn to “google search” dating photos or….
The real Craig Hartzman wants his picture back…

I am new on this site. I noticed no reports of new scammers after Sept 6th, 2022.
Is this group still active?
