Dating Suggestions and Resources

It appears that the dating options for people with cancer are severely limited. I have made numerous connections with women on several mainstream dating platforms, but I am ghosted almost immediately after revealing my cancer diagnosis.

I have even tried cancer specific sites such as cancerdatingservice.com. Out of about 50 profiles I viewed, only three involved anyone that either has or overcame cancer. The rest of the women on this site appear to have significant emotional/mental issues.

If anyone has any tips or suggestions for better success in dating with cancer, or resources that actual benefit people dealing with cancer, then I would greatly appreciate your kindness.

If I can be a friend, or help out in any way to make your rough journey a little smoother, then please reach out to me.

    Hi Patrick,

    Thank you for your post.

I see it has been awhile since you’ve been on or posted but in the hopes of helping someone/anyone on here I decided to respond with my experience regarding this anyway.

I’m sorry that your experience on dating sites have been negative, I have not had that same experience. .I haven’t found dating options for people with cancer any more limited then before I was diagnosed. Maybe we tend to limit ourselves? As with most dating sites and the people on them we all tend to have our preferences in what we are looking for, myself included. Just because I was diagnosed with cancer doesn’t change what I hope to find in a partner.

For myself, I’m on the same dating sites I was on before my diagnosis, plus this one. Not much action/activity from this one. AND obviously I haven’t met Mr Right “for me” yet but that’s OK. Still continuing the search. 😉 There are several good and 100% free sites if one just cares to do the research.

All the best to everybody on their journey with cancer and good luck finding what or whomever you’re looking for…
